Our growing team is looking to add an outstanding Junior Designer to our West Adams based studio. The Designer position is responsible for a variety of professional tasks and will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple projects within the office. This position requires the ability to lead design from Schematic Design to Construction Documentation. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Architecture Program
  • 1-3 years of post-graduate experience with an emphasis on residential projects
  • Experience in all phases of Architectural services from Schematic Design through Construction
  • Working knowledge of ArchiCAD or Revit to produce 3D models and drawing sets
  • Proficiency in CAD, 3D modeling, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
  • An understanding of the zoning codes, building codes, and permitting process
  • Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational and attention to detail skills
  • “Can Do” positive attitude with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, while managing deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Construction documentation production experience including consultant coordination, product research and detail development
  • Strong digital drafting, modeling and visualization skills
  • A commitment to design excellence and a desire for professional growth

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Project Managers to initiate and develop designs from concept through construction
  • Produce compelling design solutions to complex problems
  • Contribute to the production of design presentation deliverables, technical drawings, and detailed 3D digital models
  • Research building material and color palette selections for presentations
  • Research project zoning and building code for site specific analysis
  • Coordinate and prioritize project tasks to maintain project schedules
  • Contribute to design team and client collaborations
  • Interface with consultants and clients throughout the design process
